The SDGs Project Idea Competition offers students (grades 7-12) a platform to engage with the global movement for a sustainable future. By encouraging young innovators to create actionable projects that align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), this competition empowers students to make a meaningful impact. Whether you are passionate about science, business, art, music, or technology, this competition provides the opportunity to showcase your talents, gain global recognition, and connect with like-minded individuals who share your vision for a better world.

​Eligibility

The SDGs Project Idea Competition is open to students in grades 7-12 from all over the world, providing a unique opportunity for young innovators from diverse cultures and backgrounds to contribute to global sustainability efforts. Whether you are a middle school student (grades 7-8) or a high school student (grades 9-12), this competition welcomes passionate individuals eager to tackle

the world’s most pressing challenges through innovative projects.

Applications will be accepted year-round. Submissions are evaluated and awarded four times a year, with winners announced in March, June, September, and December. This consistent award schedule encourages ongoing participation and provides regular opportunities for students to gain recognition

for their work in support of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

1. Choose Your Category and Brainstorm:

Select the category that best suits your skillsand passion, and start brainstorming ideas that align with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Develop your project in one of the availablecategories —business, writing, art, music,

or film— ensuring it addresses the SDGs in an innovative and impactful way.

3. Submit Your Project:

 

Follow the specific submission guidelines for your chosen category and submit your

project through the email.

Evaluation Criteria

1. Alignment with SDGs: How effectively does the project address one or more of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)?

2. Innovation: How unique, creative, and forward-thinking is the proposed solution?

 

3. Feasibility: Is the project realistic and implementable within its given context or resources?

 

4.Impact: What is the potential impact of the project on the community, environment, or the world at large?
